Notes Finished My Hen Sweater/Jumper :D…I just have to add buttons! Picture coming soon (as soon as I learn to sew on a button, haha). To start my button process, I went to my local Salvation Army store yesterday and found a bin full of buttons! I prefer wooden ones, so I snatched up all the ones I could find plus a few non-wooden ones too. I think I got over 30 buttons and a second-hand crochet needle for 1 CHF (about $1.50)!
I am a big fan of second hand, and if you are just starting out and/or are on a budget, places like the SA, Goodwill, and other charity shops are a great place to look for knitting, crochet, and other sewing supplies. A friend told me you can even find yarn…of course, it all depends on what people drop off at the shops.
I’ll be posting more soon….have a friend visiting and we’ve been having way too much fun in the sun, hehehe
