NotesIt’s been a while since my last post!! I’ve been so busy since the start of December. I wanted to update on the homeless charity drive that I hosted - overall it has been a lovely experience to see how many caring charity crafters there are out there. YOU ROCK!! I collected lots of warm items, wrapped and tagged them with little Xmas cards, and personally delivered them to the shelter last night. They will be handed out on Xmas eve (tomorrow). I will report back on what they thought of the items. So many beautiful scarves, hats, mittens, etc. where donated, so I am sure they will enjoy them all (especially the warmth they will bring in this harsh winter weather).
As I made my way to the shelter, I noticed there was a long line outside. All the beds were booked for the night - from what I’ve heard this Is not uncommon. They were still hoping for an opening to have a place to rest/eat for the night. Either way, it really puts things into perspective. This holiday be grateful for the things you have, the wonderful people in your life…think about those that are not so fortunate and maybe, in the new year, pledge to get involved anyway you can to create your little bit of change in this world.
